You could already see my new love in my previous post and I’ve already showed it a couple of times on Instagram: I bought myself a new Chanel bag as a birthday gift to myself. The model of the bag I bought had been on my wishlist for already a couple of years and after ‘trying on’ some of them during our holiday I knew I really wanted one. Soon.
About 1,5 month ago, we visited the Chanel boutique in Amsterdam and I tried on various models of the WOC Bags –they had 3 different types + one with a waiting list– and after doubting for a while between two models (boy in champagne & 2.55 in black) I decided to go for the most classic one, the bag that suits me the most: the Chanel WOC 2.55. You guys responded really enthusiastic to my Instagram photos with the bag, so I decided to write a blogpost about the bag with information and a lot of photos..

Even if you’ve never bought a Chanel bag before, I think you can imagine that Chanal packaging is always gorgeous. When buying a bag, they always take some time separated from the store area to carefully wrap your item, I really like the fact that they do is, because it makes your purchase feel even more special. Next to that, unwrapping your purchase at home feels like unwrapping a gift, because you haven’t seen everything inside the bag yet.
My new bag was packed inside a pretty black dustbag inside one of the well known black Chanel boxes. This box was decorated with a Chanel ribbon and the iconic camelia on it. All of this was put into the known black Chanel bag, closed with a white Chanel ribbon to make it all complete. I just love the packaging of the bag, it’s now displayed in our walk in closet and I always keep my bags in their dustbags.

Chanel WOC 2.55
Back in 2014 I bought my first Chanel bag, a bag that had been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and accomplishing this buy was something really special for me. Though buying this bag was a real accomplishment, more Chanel bags got added to my wishlist, because I just love the designs, quality and story behind them. One of these bags was the well known WOC [Wallet On a Chain], a often seen small crossbody bag, available in many designs and colors each season.
During our recent holiday, I ‘tried on’ a couple of these WOC bags on the airport in Dubai and I decided that the time had come to buy one. I just hadn’t decided which one to take and I knew the collection would be different in Amsterdam. The lady in the store showed me three designs and the classic 2.55 design immediately caught my attention. After comparing it with one other design, a champagne boy WOC, I decided to go for it, because it’s so gorgeous and just perfect for me.
The bag is not very big, it’s really a wallet on a chain. The main area is big enough for my phone, lip balm and some other small items and the several pockets are perfect for carrying money. Also my creditcard, drivers license and debit card fit in the special pockets perfectly. The bag is made out of black lambskin leather and the hardware is silver, but looks a bit worn. My other bag is made out of caviar leather, so I thought it would be nice to pick another material this time, even though lambskin leather can be damaged quicker.
The bag is made to wear crossbody and I think the length is just perfect. The bag is perfect for a shopping day but I can also perfectly use it during a night out or party, because of its classy look. I’m just a really happy girl!
What do you think of my new bag? And do you have a designer bag on your wishlist? Let me know in a comment! :)
