Since the weather hasn’t been great lately -at least not here in the Netherlands-, I thought it would be a nice idea for one last post about our holiday in paradise, a.k.a. Mauritius. It’s already been two months since we visited the island and I realised that I hadn’t published a post about one of the gorgeous nature pieces we visited.
On one of the days during our stay, we rented a car and decided to ride to the center of the island to visit the forest, cause we had already seen many gorgeous photos and stories about the nature on the island online. We decided to visit the Chamarel area and after a 2,5 hour drive through real African neighbourhoods and the most gorgeous tropical forest area ever(seriously, I’m still impressed by the beautiful nature of the island, even though we only saw a small part of it), we finally got there.
We were able to access the area by car and our first stop -after another drive through the magical forest- was near a waterfall. This was the first big waterfall I saw in my life and everything around it was really gorgeous, so we were very impressed by it. The second stop was the Seven Coloured Earth area, an area at which the earth has 7 different colors, all caused by mother nature. You can read more about that on this website. It was really impressive to see this, you almost don’t believe it’s real because of all the colors. Anyway, I think the photos say more than any word about it, so don’t forget to check the images below..
Have you ever seen such gorgeous nature?
