You might remember my Tiger Teddy outfit post, one of my latest outfit posts that I was really exited about (and you guys too, thanks for that!). Well, I already told you in that post that Roy and I visited the small town Valkenburg a couple of weeks ago. We actually headed to the southern part of our country for a family getaway and we stayed in Limburg -the state- for 2,5 days.
On Saturday, we decided to discover the town. We had a quick breakfast at ‘home’ before we went to the center of the town in which a lot restaurants are located and some souvenir shops. We made a quick coffee, tea and late breakfast stop at Cup & Vino, a really nice place which I would definitely recommend you. After that, we decided to go for a stroll through the nice streets -we actually felt like we were visiting an other country..- and we took some nice photos.
We also visited a nice castle ruin, had a nice (glutenfree!) lunch on a terrace and visited the impressive cemetery in Margraten. Hundreds of USA military found their last resting place at this cemetery, because they gave their life while fighting for our country. Standing on the cemetery really makes you think and realise how thankful we should be for that..
We ended the day at ‘home’ with a nice group dinner and we went home on Sunday after a nice brunch. We really liked visiting Valkenburg, you should definitely visit the caves, ruin and cemetery when you’re around!
Have you ever been to Valkenburg?
